Lately I've been thinking about how transformative yoga is. The transformation is natural and happens organically as we grow in our practice.
As we practice we keep our focus on the body, and we see what needs to shift, how we need to move differently or adjust to get where we need to be. It's a constant process of tuning in, releasing and re-adjusting.
That mindfulness transfers into our daily life. As we become practiced and used to being attentive to the moment, we become more clear and focused and, most important, resilient, and able to easily shift as life requires. The process repeats over and over and grows deeper and more automatic until we find ourselves as mindful people, living in this moment with the ability to let go of what isn't serving us.
This is one of the many benefits of yoga.
